The School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence has established distinctive strengths and leading expertise in key research fields such as Big Data and Cloud Computing, Digital Communication and Digital Media, Network and Information Security, Trusted Computing Environments and Platforms, Informatization Engineering, and Key Technologies for Transportation Internet of Things. The school has achieved significant accomplishments in addressing theoretical and practical engineering challenges, advancing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and fostering academic exchanges.

The school has undertaken a series of national key research projects and industry collaborative initiatives. Over the past five years, its average annual research funding has exceeded RMB 21 million, with a steady annual increase in government-funded longitudinal projects. It has led 22 industry collaborative projects each valued at over RMB 1 million. In the last three years, nearly 200 research papers authored by faculty have been indexed by SCI, EI, and ISTP. Additionally, the school has secured 60+ patents and software copyrights and received 12 provincial/ministerial-level or higher scientific awards in the past five years.
