The Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Transportation Internet of Things (IoT) Technologies was approved for construction by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in December 2013. It is hosted by the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Wuhan University of Technology.
